Journalism students at the University of Texas produced their first newscast of the Spring 2024 semester on March 21.

Student journalists reported this week on the Longhorns women’s basketball team receiving a top seed in the NCAA tournament, the excitement of filling out brackets as the men’s basketball team faces Colorado State in the first round, initiatives to advocate for and honor missing and murdered indigenous women, the Austin Animal Center’s Desperate Housecats adoption drive, and a trip with the UT club baseball team that provided opportunities to complete against universities from the Big Ten.
