New Moms in a Pandemic

Reporting Texas

My sister has a nine-month old son, so I talk to a new mom on the phone almost every day. She has given me direct insight to the unique struggles moms of infants are experiencing during this time. From cabin fever, to navigating tough child care decisions, to celebrating some of her son’s first holidays alone, she has found that life in a pandemic with a baby has had its hardships. It has its silver linings too, as she doesn’t miss a moment or milestone.

I was curious to discover if other moms of infants were having similar experiences, and found that for the most part they were. My hope is that these stories will provide comfort to new moms as they discover that they are not as alone as they may feel.
