Journalism students from Moody College at the University of Texas produced their first newscast of the fall semester on Oct. 19, 2023. Student journalists reported this week on Preservation Austin’s efforts to recognize and reward local legacy businesses, the Austin Animal Shelter’s activities for Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, a showcase for vendors who produce and promote sustainable food and drink, the “Gala-ry” art exhibit at UT’s Cactus Café, and the Longhorn football team’s plans to reset during the bye week and begin a new winning streak following the first loss of the year.
